![]() ![]() I have a garden feeder a short distance away and keep that filled with general seed for the bigger birds (and little ones if they so desire) so that they don't get tempted to land on the this feeder. It took several weeks for the birds to pluck up courage, but they eventually couldn't resist the meal worm and buggy fat treats I put in there along with the sunflower hearts. I placed the feeder to the side of the window slightly behind the curtain so I wouldn't disturb too much if I was moving around inside the house, but I still get a great view. I was bought this as a gift for Christmas and after waiting several weeks with no little visitors in February I have been rewarded with lots of visiting birds. If you like birds, you will really love this feeder. ![]() I bought it just after my Dad passed away and it has cheered me up so many times. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. It took many attempts but they have both figured out a way to squeeze into the feeding tray! I read that some customers have had problems with the feeder falling off the window but that's never happened to us.maybe RSPB have improved the suction pads? The biggest problem I've had is that I now have to wash the window more frequently than I might like.but it's totally worth it. More recently we've been seeing a jackdaw and a magpie hanging around. The starlings are by far the most entertaining visitors they come several times a day, sometimes in a small flock and are always squabbling and pushing each other off the feeder - the pecking order in action! Wood pigeons are a bit of a pest as they try to lie in the feeder, but they're easy to chase off. We've also had a robin, goldfinches and chaffinches, I've noticed blackbirds and sparrows seen too timid to try it, preferring other feeders in the garden. I bought the feeder in December and we are visited daily by blue tits, great tits and squabbling starlings (6 months later, these birds all now bring their young to feed here which is amazing!). ![]() We live in a city, in a street filled with gardens so when I read about the feeder I thought we might have some luck attracting birds. ![]()
